School Supply Drive, August 1-15, 2010: Each year children start school without needed supplies. This year LPC, through the Outreach Committee, is reaching out to help Mary Bramlett Elementary School. Boxes will be placed in the narthex and at the E. Jeffries Street entrance. The following is a list of needed items: 24 pack crayons, washable markers, protractors, scissors, glue sticks, #2 pencils, highlighters, notebook paper, rulers, graph paper, composition books, colored pencils, 1 1/2- or 3-inch binders, 3 prong & 2 pocket folders.

Nominations needed for the Office of Elder: The 2010 Officer Nominating Committee seeks suggestions from the congregation for nominations to the Session. There are many talented, qualified people in Limestone Presbyterian Church and your help is needed in identifying them. Members of the ONC are Ron Cope (elder-chair), Fran Ross (elder), Kim Gallagher, Lora Hubbard, and Jim Thompson. Names will be accepted by the committee until August 29, 2010. Place your suggestions in the offering plate or in the box for Ron Cope outside the chapel.

Have you hugged a college student lately? Probably not-they can be slippery and hard to hang on to! But that doesn't mean they don't want us to make the attempt. The Congregational Care Committee is developing a Virtual Hug program to help maintain our church relationships with our college students. College students in our congregation might like to know that you are thinking of them throughout the academic year and keeping them in your prayers. Each college student will be assigned to a member(s) of the congregation to stay in contact with them while they are at school. If you are interested in partnering with one of our college students, please contact Lyn Paschal or Bette Berry. You will be provided with contact information about the student, and the rest is up to you.

Please join the Christian Education Committee for a continental breakfast on Rally Day, Sunday, September 12, 2010 at 9:45am. Everyone is invited to come and eat from 9:45-10:15am and then preview a Sunday School Class from 10:15-10:45am.

Please check the calendar for weekly ministry and fellowship opportunities.
